With around 1000 residents, 700 registered voters, devoted second-home owners and faithful tourists, Jamaica is a small town with a big sense of community.
Don't let our size fool you - we have so much to offer. In the village you will find a classic Vermont general store, a yoga studio, a hip restaurant/taproom, two Inns, a historic Town Hall hosting a plethora of events, a hand-blown glass shop, a popular Vermont State Park, library, school, volunteer fire & rescue department, and the friendliest Town Office you will ever encounter ;). Three miles up the road in our hamlet of Rawsonville, you can visit the coffee shop or craft beer store, eat at one of two restaurants, shop for outdoor gear, and get gas and a snack.
So hike, eat, shop, stay or, best of all, LIVE in Jamaica!
